David Beckmann joins Motopark in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship
Without a doubt David Beckmann is one of the most promising German junior race drivers. At the age of only 14, the 2014 German Junior Karting Champion graduated into ADAC Formula 4 for the 2015 season, and managed to win the rookie title straight away. In 2016, his debut year in the FIA Formula 3, the driver from Hagen drew attention to himself with strong single results.
Team Motopark principal Timo Rumpfkeil is looking forward to the partnership with the 17-year-old talent: “We are very pleased to welcome David in our team. I have been following his career for many years and we have always stayed in close contact ever since. We are looking forward to welcome David to the Motopark family. David is rightly considered to be one of the top talents in German motor sports, and I have always been convinced of his potential. We have to give David some time to settle in, given the fact that before the next race at the Hungaroring, unfortunately, there is only time for a short roll-out. Therefore, expectations shall not be kept too high.”
David Beckmann: “I am confident about the rest of the FIA Formula 3 European Championship and I am sure that Motopark will offer me a competitive package. Everybody in the team is extremely motivated and focussed on success. I am optimistic that we will achieve good results together after the necessary period of familiarisation.”
David Beckmann will complete his first races with Team Motopark on 17 and 18 June at Hungaroring. Beckmann is the fourth addition to Motopark’s lineup for the European Formula 3 season; he will join Sweden's Joel Eriksson, Keyvan Andres from Germany and Japanese driver Marino Sato.
